A guest arrived in a taxi at the Hope Centre a number of weeks ago during our ‘Open Door’ session. Upon arrival they explained they were unsure of the reasons why they had attended as they knew very little about the centre. The guest met with one of our volunteers and explained that the taxi driver had recommended coming to the Hope Centre following their conversation. The guest had shared some of their story with the driver stating the different issues they were facing. The driver had then brought our guest to the Hope Centre so support could be offered, even though this was not their original destination. Our volunteer got to find out a little more of their story, share what was available through the Hope Centre and got an opportunity to pray with the individual before they left. This is a true example of everyone, everywhere, everyday, bringing life to our community.
