KIDS
Little Stars – Children from 9mths to 2 years that meet during the first service. Volunteers serve once a month. Small Stars – Children from 3 to 5 years that meet during the first service. Involves structured play, worship, story time. Volunteers serve once a month. All Stars – Children from P2 to P7 that meet during the first service. Involves worship, teaching, games, ministry and loads of fun. Volunteers serve on a monthly basis. Schools work – From assemblies to after schools clubs. Teaching, games and lots of fun in several of the primary schools in the area. Big – Quarterly big events for all the families. Games, music, mad lots of fun. Deep - Weekly small group for children in P6 and P7 on a Friday. Chat, teaching, prayer. YOUTH – Destination Home There are several youth environments (rooms) that meet throughout the week. 11-14 This includes fuse, radiate & movemeant 15-18 youth small groups, the apprentice & revolution Open plan/outreach – no entry & streetz COMMUNITY Care callers – This is a team of people that meets in the church offices once a month and calls others within the church community. Hospital visitation team – This is a team of people that visit people from the church community who go into hospital. Social team – Quarterly events for adults and/or the family. People needed to set up, organise, refreshments. Rebuilders support team – Rebuilders is a course for people who are separated or divorced. The support team, set up the venue and provide refreshments. WORSHIP PA team – People to set up and do the sound for our Sunday services. Volunteers serve on a once a month basis. Visuals – People to operate our Easy Worship that displays the words for the songs for our Sunday services. Volunteers serve on a once a month basis. COMPASSION Sunday Food Giveaway – The Sunday Food Giveaway seeks to serve the needs of those people in our community who struggle to afford food for themselves and their families. Tuesday is bagging night splitting bulk food into portions, Saturday afternoons we do collections from local businesses time, and Sundays from 2-3pm is the actual distribution where we need many volunteers!!! Christians Against Poverty (CAP) – Christians Against Poverty is our Debt Counselling Centre that offers hope and a solution to anyone in debt through debt counselling, financial advice and practical help. We have a Support Team that accompanies the trained Debt Coaches on initial client visits and then follows up clients to help meet social, practical and spiritual needs as appropriate. (No financial skills necessary!) Senior Moments – We seek to build relationship and share God’s love by spending precious moments of time with the elderly in The Cromore and The Montague nursing homes. Tuesday evenings is an informal time talking to the folks and on Sundays we take a short service for them. Engage HIV – Is a charity we have partnered with through our own Tre Sheppard. Engage bring hope to people affected by HIV and AIDS in sub-Saharan Teams – Each year we send several teams away to other parts of Illuminate – is the name for our “Servant Evangelism” exploits. During certain times of the year, teams go out and give stuff away to communicate that God loves them. Night light – A team of over 18’s who serve tea nad coffee outside the local pubs and cubs in Portstewart. The team go out once a month. Face 2 Face – Is a group of people who go out onto the streets listening to God’s lead and voice to talk and share with people they meet.
HEALING ON THE STREET
Media - you’ll shoot and edit video material to make informative short clips, improve the quality of our training material, etc. Also the introduction of other media options is possible (you might even be able to tell us what!) (from office or other location)
Travel Companion - come along side Mark and learn more about Healing on the Streets and Mark’s missional live style. Because this person will be travelling with Mark each week, this is only available for men. Sorry ladies! (from

Administration - to help Emily / Katja (from office) OFFICE SUPPORT Admin – An array of different tasks based in the office IT – Support in the smooth running of our IT facilities SUNDAY SUPPORT Info desk – Assist anyone with queries or people who want to purchase resources. Collection – People who uplift the offering during the service. Welcome team – Arrive early and greet people at the door Refreshments – Prepare for and serve tea, coffee, etc through the services. WOMANS Events – If you are interested in helping plan and prepare for events. Areas include: set up, décor, design, cleaning. PRAYER Prayer gathering – A group of people meet to pray at 9.30am every Sunday before the first serviced. All are welcome at it. |
