'Break the Silence' - CAP Sunday Light Lunch

On 2nd November there will be an opportunity to find out about the work of our Christians Against Poverty Debt Centre.

The 'Break the Silence' theme has been chosen this year - our clients often tell us that before CAP,  they suffered in silence, thinking suicide was the only way out of their debts. We can't keep quiet; for the sake of thousands more who are offering up silent cries for help, we have to speak up.

Proverbs 31:8 (NLT)
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed.

John is sadly one of many who were pushed to the absolute edge where taking their own lives seemed like the only real option. One in three CAP clients seriously considered or attempted suicide before calling us. This alarming fact has made us even more determined to reach the thousands who are silenced by debt, and to reach them before it's too late.

Through partnerships with local churches CAP have a solution to their debts, which means we are saving lives every day. Lives of people like John, Nick and Kim, who have not only been rescued from the brink of suicide but are now living life in all its fullness, with Jesus at the centre and a new church family.

There will also be an opportunity for you to get involved in a number of different ways in your CAP Centre.

Looking forward to seeing you on 2nd November, right after the 11.30 service in the Overflow Room.
