It seems only weeks ago when we launched 'On a Mission...' 2007! In our very first year of Short Term Mission Teams, over 30% of our church took the
challenge to go 'On a Mission...' during 2007 in one of 10 teams offered.
Now a year on, we're set to launch a total of 20 Mission Teams! From France to Austria and from Denmark to Germany... we have teams that are Local,
Trans-Local and Global! Some last for simply a weekend, some for 5 days, a week or even 10 days. Even the costs for each team varies from £20 to £815 with many options in between. With a choice of ministry, location, duration and cost... I'm sure that there will be a team that will suit YOU this 2008.
Therefore I would like to invite you to take the challenge and travel... outside your comfort zone and even your culture... to places far and not so far... as part of a Short Term Mission Team.
It's my vision that in 2008, we would see twice as many people of all ages from the Vineyard, giving their time, energy and resources to share God's love in
mission. These trips are not just designed for young people! All teams are open for anyone over 15yrs old to apply.
The information that follows will encourage you, whatever your age, gifts and abilities to serve in various situations. It contains the essential details of the 20 teams and how you can apply. Total costs may vary slightly depending on the current price of flights when you send in your deposit. Team spaces are limited so early application is necessary to get a place and cheaper flights.
A £50 deposit is required with all applications (unless the total cost of the team is under £50, then the full amount is due on application). Every team member also gets a FREE 'On a mission' 2008 T-Shirt!
I feel that I should warn you again... as we go 'On a mission' this 2008, these trips could literally change your life!

Here is the information of the teams that have a few places left so if you are considering applying, do so ASAP!
Dave Armstrong is leading this Youth Team of 15-18's to Speyer Vineyard church in Germany. The plan is to connect our Youth Team with the Youth Group of Speyer Vineyard for a 3 day retreat together in a Retreat Centre to get to know each other, have some fun, to worship together and encourage one other. Then we'll hit the streets for 3 days, hanging out with the youth of the town, playing sports, and doing some Servant Evangelism by showing God's love in practical ways... chatting to them, offering to pray with them and sharing Jesus with them.
Sligo – Shine South
Date: Sunday 13th – Friday 18th July
Cost: £145 *
Last year in Sligo we saw a team of around 25 people from Vineyard hit the streets of Sligo for a week of outreach. Due to the massive impact of that week and our continued monthly visits to Sligo... We've decided to hit the town for another week in July. We'll be offering to pray for people in the town daily through our 'Healing on the Streets' ministry, and will also be showing God's love in practical ways by doing free giveaways. The New Wine 'Kingdom Come' conference is also on at the same time in Sligo and the team is available to join the evening sessions (there is a cost to the conference). Alan & Kathryn are speaking and leading worship there!
Berlin – Love Berlin Outreach
Date: Thursday 24th July – Sunday 3rd August
Cost: £545 *
10 Teams, for 10 days! From July to September Vineyard Churches from all over Europe will send teams to Berlin. Each team will experience challenging teaching on Power Evangelism followed by practical experience every day on the streets of Berlin over a period of 10 days! Our aim is twofold; to bless the newly formed church plants in Berlin by offering training and practical assistance in outreach and to bless the people of Berlin with the good news of Jesus. CCV are leading the 2nd week of outreach in Berlin and we will be joined by people from all over Europe. This promises to be an exciting and challenging 10 days... a unique opportunity to experience the Kingdom of God in power in the middle of Berlin!
Shine – Coleraine
Date: Week 1 - Saturday 9th – Saturday 16th August
Week 2 – Saturday 16th – Saturday 23rd August

SHINE's back for a 5th year! SHINE is Vineyard's 'On your doorstep' Mission Team in our home community. This year we'll be taking TWO WEEKS to let God Shine His light & His love through us into the community of
Coleraine in as many ways as possible: Kids Clubs, Street Evang, Giveaways, Healing on the Streets, Evening Events & MUCH MORE! Our goal is to build relationships with people in our community and share Jesus with them. We'll be based in Coleraine and you can join the team in Wk 1 or Wk 2 or BOTH. We already have 35 Californians signed up for Wk 1 and almost 25 Europeans signed up for Wk 2... So SHINE has an International flavour this 2008!!! Don't miss out on one of the highlights of our year!
Dave Pavey is heading up this team that is going to link in with a church in a town called Velbert. The guys in this church have been over to visit us at CCV and have since been out on the streets reaching out to their home community. They have asked us to visit them with a team on the weekend of their town annual open air festival. This is one of the town highlights of the year and the place is packed with people and lots of stalls, music and celebrations. The church puts up a stall and uses it to bless the community through various ways of outreach. We also want to get to know the guys in the church and bless and encourage them in their vision for their town.
Graz – Austria
Date: Friday 19th – Sunday 21st September
Cost: £315 *
This team will be going to the beautiful town of Gratz in Austria, to train and launch them in our Healing on the Streets ministry. Mark Marx will be taking the training sessions on the Friday night and Saturday mornings. Then the team will be helping launch the church out onto the streets of Graz on the Saturday afternoon using the HOTS model. It is amazing to see HOTS work all round the world and this is a great opportunity to see it happen for the first time in Austria! On Sunday we will be encouraging the church by being part of their service. There will be time to spend getting to know the guys in the church and building relationships there.
Kristiansands - Norway
Date: TBC
Cost: £368 *
The team will jet off to Kristiansand in Norway where they will be greeted by the welcoming Kristiansand Vineyard Church. Paul Daniels our new Community Pastor will lead this team. Last years team to Kristiansand was such a success that many of the guys want to return to renew friendships and enjoy their hospitality again. This team will have the many opportunities throughout the time to serve the church. There will be various opportunities to head out with members of the church to do different types of outreach including 'Healing on the streets' in their city!
Oslo - Norway
Date: Friday 26th – Sunday 28th September
Cost: £242 *
A chance to be a part of one of the first Healing on the Streets Conferences to be held outside the UK. Oslo is the largest city in Norway and is also its capital city. The church we're visiting was the first Vineyard to be planted in Norway in 1993. This team will travel with Mark Marx as he teaches at a HOTS conference hosted by the Oslo Vineyard church. As well as being a part of the conference, the team will also help launch Healing on the Streets in Oslo during the conference. Many other churches will hopefully be there and will be a great time to get to know other Scandinavian Vineyards.
Banska Bystrica - Slovakia
Date: Friday 3rd – Monday 6th October
Cost: £230 *
If you missed this team last year... this is another exciting chance to head to a town called Banska Bystrica in the middle of Slovakia where you will spend a few days with a small Vineyard church. Last year Alan, Kathryn and Mark Marx spent time teaching and training the members of the church in outreach and they've been on the streets ever since... We want to visit the church again and encourage them by joining their team on the streets of their town to offer prayer to the people in the local community. There will also be time set aside for the team to join together in worship with the church, where there will be opportunities to share stories from the streets!
Easily one of last years favourites, Andy Rogers will be leading the team back to Klaipeda, Lithuania where they will be involved with a small Vineyard church plant that is reaching out through the arts. We'll teach and lead worship during their Wednesday night meeting. Andy will be recruiting musicians for the team to do a gig in a café, perform in an ''Open Mic' night and maybe even play a top club venue! These events are secular, well attended & desperately in need of subtle & powerful performing evangelists. They are also looking for any budding artists to teach through art. On Saturday the team will visit a local Orphanage and engage with the children there, again, through music and art!

Who can apply?
These trips are not just designed for young people! All teams are open to anyone over 15 years old. Individuals applying for more than one overseas team, may not get on additional teams if spaces are limited. Any 15-18's are encouraged to apply specifically for teams that are highlighted as part of Destination Home. ie: Street Reach, Sligo, Speyer, Love Berlin, Shine.
Any 11-14's are welcome to apply for the Sligo team led by Seb & Michaela. Kids aged 9-11 are welcome on the Upper Bann Vineyard team with Dave Pavey if they bring a parent along with them.
Whole families are welcome to come and minister together as part of a team if that works with the team in question.
We'd encourage everyone in the Vineyard to be involved in our local Shine Mission Team at some level, even on a part-time basis or for a few days.
Personal Costs of Mission Teams:
Each person must be able to raise the necessary finance to pay the total cost for their place in the team. We are not going to be fundraising for these teams!
If you can't manage the total cost of your preferred team, call the church office or speak to Ricky Wright. There is a possibility of a contribution towards your trip from a 'Mission Team Bursary' in the Compassion Account. This will be allocated on a case by case basis with certain criteria applying. Total costs for each team may vary from what was correct at the time of printing, depending on the current price of flights when you send in your deposit.
Desposit:
A Deposit of £50 MUST be included with any application. If the cost of the team is under £50 then the FULL amount is required.
After application... The remaining amount MUST be paid in FULL by the dates below! Summer Team - before Sunday 4th May. Any unsuccessful applicants will have their deposits returned in full. Once your flights are booked, you are fully responsible for covering any costs incurred by the church in the event of your cancellation!
