Just Christmas

On Saturday 3rd December we had a fantastic day as around 260 volunteers joined together from CCV, Mountsandel Christian Fellowship and Coleraine Methodist Church to serve Single Parent Families in our community.
We had around 100 single parent families connect with us throughout this day which was jam packed with treat after treat for single parents and their kids.
We had an amazing kids programme at Coleraine Methodist Church Halls in the morning which included face painting, games, balloon modelling, craft, baking, creche and Casey’s creatures! There was also the opportunity to have a family photo taken.
While the kids were kept entertained, the parents had the chance to come just across the road to CCV’s venue where they could relax in our Christmas café, be pampered in the powder room, enjoy some time doing craft, select items for their hampers, sign up to have jobs done around their home or seek help and advice from a variety of services and agencies.
Over 100 of the team joined together for lunch before some headed out to deliver framed photos, hampers and to do small jobs around single parent’s homes.
We finished off the day with a movie night at the Sandel Centre including tasty movie time treats. All rounded up by a visit from Santa who arrived on a tractor escorted by the Fire Brigade.
Such a fantastic day was had by all, so many came to thank the team on leaving to say they’d had a truly brilliant day.
It was such an amazing opportunity to work together as the church and in partnership with agencies in this area and we know already that this has sent Kingdom ripples out into our community!<br?
