Baptism Sunday

On Sunday 10th June we had the joy of celebrating with 40 people as they were Baptised on Portstewart Strand.

We began with two Baptism Services where 14 people shared what God has done in their Life – through amazing stories, moving interviews and even poetry! We also heard from some of our fantastic kids, who shared by interview and video what Baptism means to them.When asked why she wanted to be Baptised, one of our youngest participants put it this way ‘I love Jesus and want to be his disciple’ – amazing!

After our two services we all hit the Beach for the big event! Friends and family all gathered on Portstewart Strand to watch as 40 people- including 10 kids – took the plunge. The excitement and joy was palpable as family and friend prayed for the Baptisees, before sending them out to the guys to be Baptised.

The fun continued throughout the afternoon as some of the team put on a fantastic barbeque, while Dave and Andy kept the kids amused with great beach games and a slip n’ slide (kids and ‘big kids’ all enjoyed this!)
