Launching - "Connect" Women's Ministry Internships!
08 July 2012

There is much excitement around the launch of “Connect” Women’s Ministry Internships that will also be in partnership with The Hope and Gloria Emporium and the Encounter School of Mission. This is an opportunity for women who are passionate about the work of Women’s Ministry and/or the work of the Hope and Gloria Emporium. Due to the interwoven partnership between Women’s Ministry at CCV and The Hope and Gloria Emporium, some internships will share roles across those environments. There will be specific roles that need to be filled in each area, but there will also be more general roles available that will require time spent in serving in a variety of different areas across Women’s Ministry as well as roles that support the business and ministry of The Hope and Gloria Emporium. The Women’s Ministry areas of service include things like: Event Preparation, Women’s Small Group Support, Pastoral Care, Newcomers, Life Group Leadership/Assistance, Support to Single Mothers,Graphic Design/Video Production and support for new “Connect” initiatives. These are unsalaried positions but will provide a wealth of experience for those looking to learn and grow in ministry skills and leadership.

As for Roles of Service offered in the internships with the Hope and Gloria Emporium: These are not paid positions but working with Hope and Gloria provides valuable opportunities to impact the community (i.e. customers and the H&G charities) through skills and creativity, and the chance to develop these skills and learn new ones. A Hope and Gloria internship is ideal for those looking to branch out with their own business ideas in the future that perhaps need to test the water (and learn the basics of business) first! It is also ideal for those with a heart to interact with the community as “Kingdom Carriers.” Some of the roles Hope and Gloria are looking to fulfill as internships would include: Shop Assistants, Dress Maker/Alterations, Hairdresser/Beautician, Cafe Manager, Photographer/Graphic Designer/Online Sales Development, Administrative Assistant. As you can see…there is so much room for a variety of skills and for those who truly do want to make a difference by serving in these environments.

For these internships there is also the highly recommended option of attending the Encounter School of Mission at the same time. Come learn how to live a life of extreme risk in a 9 month program that trains and equips you to intentionally infect your community with Kingdom resources through the daily routine of life.
