Who we are

Causeway Coast Vineyard is one church in three locations looking to change the community one life at a time. We are a group of people who are passionately pursuing God’s heart for His city through our ordinary everyday lives.

Here is our story up to this point

“It’s difficult to chart the journey of the Causeway Coast Vineyard on one page on a website because the real story is found in the changed lives and stories of the people. We hope this gives you a small flavour of where we have been and we cant wait to see where it goes from here.

Our journey began in May 1999 with a group of six people tenaciously guarding the dream that it is possible to live differently in order to make a difference.

Our very first public meeting was held in a pub on the promenade in Portstewart, which caused some interest from the local press

From this time the church continued to grow and this resulted in us moving into a new space in the Edgewater Hotel in Portstewart.

It was a great location to have Sunday Morning Services and we all fondly remember the view that we had over the Atlantic ocean.

The Lord blessed us greatly while we were based in the Edgewater and we grew to around 150 people and this was also the time when we heard God clearly call us to turn our church around and become outward focused and from that point on me knew church life would never quite be the same.

We went forward with this phrase in our hearts; “If we will go after the lost, God will look after the church”

From here we moved into the University of Ulster in Coleraine where we spent 4 wonderful years and for the first time we had to move to two services.

It was here that we began to make our impact on our local community through new ministries and the compassionate hearts of the people. For the first time we held our Compassion Christmas Dinner, Recovery Groups, Allstars kid’s ministry to name a few and while we were in this location our Healing on the Streets ministry was also birthed.

Then in May 2008 we moved into the Dunnes Stores building in Coleraine, which was our first 7 day a week venue, this allowed us to build on the work in the community we had started.

In this venue we launched our Sunday Food Giveaway, Destination:Home, Connect ministry and so many other initiatives that have allowed us to make an impact on our local community.

Our story continues to be written on the lives of our members and in the heart of our community.

Its simply the story of a church where lives are changing. Where people are saying ‘yes’ to God and experiencing life in a fresh way."
