Story from Compassion

Earlier in the year, myself and my wife Annamay planned to climb Croagh Patrick (Ireland's Holy Mountain) in Aid of Vineyard Compassion. Unfortunatley Annamay was struck down with a serious illness in June and as a result needed surgery right away. This meant she couldn't climb but 10 days after surgery was able to travel. A friend Kieran said he would climb for Annamay so we travelled to County Mayo on the 11 July and climbed the mountain on the 14 th July as planned - Annamay providing prayer cover in prayer room at the base of Croagh Patrick. It was probably one of the most difficult but most rewarding things I have ever done. It took us 6 hours to go up the 2507 feet including prayer time at the top. We had 18 sponsors at home and raised £ 850 approx for Vineyard compassion. Praise the Lord.
